Harvest Monday
I really like seeing what others harvest from their gardens. I keep an eye on Granny, Mark, and now Daphne.
Granny and Daphne (and a bunch of others) post on Monday what they harvest during the week. I like the idea, so here is my inaugural Harvest Monday post. While it has been hot here, the garden has not yet kicked into high gear. Soon though I think.
There you have it. It’s not much, but…. I am pretty pleased so far this year, I’m about 25 lbs (two weeks) ahead of last year.
Weekly total: 10.41 lbs
2012 Total: 27.06
*** Daphne’s Dandelions is the host for Harvest Monday, where everyone can share links to their harvest for the week. Please visit her blog and leave a link, so we can enjoy your harvest photos!

I’d say that’s a very respectable harvest! Any time I can exceed a previous year’s harvest, I’m ecstatic 🙂

I am about two week ahead and that makes sense as things went in this year on May 5th. I won’t have the cucumber have the cucumber crop I had last year but there is more variety this year.

That is a very impressive harvest indeed! Love your onions!

Thank you Marina! They are pretty aren’t they?

Very nice harvest. I have been trying to join in but it is hard when most of your harvests are now tomatoes and peppers and maybe a few beans, lol. The heat has killed off the yellow squash even though I have watered it every day. They are calling for rain later today though so maybe it will revive itself. I’m doubting it though.

I think tomatoes and peppers are my favorite harvests!

Very nice, Dave. I still cannot believe the size of your broccoli heads. Incredible! Beautiful opening shot of your red onions, too. Everything, for that matter, looks great!

I too am surprised at the broccoli, this is the first time I’ve grown it and I could not be more pleased!

I’m not in the habit of keeping detailed records of the harvests I get, but my photos are a great way of reminding me what I get. I haven’t joined in on Daphne’s Harvest Monday for a while now, but with the main harvest season approaching, I think I must resume.
Your harvest looks great, David – and very nicely presented too. I just love those red onions. So sleek and shiny! Good choice for your new header picture.

The red onions were begging for a close up in morning light. The obliged me with some pretty images. I do keep close track of the harvests, and also enjoy look at what other more advanced gardeners can do so I figured I’d join in the fun.
